Job Title: National Account Executive

 

Location: Solana Beach, CA (in-office)

With a team of dedicated and successful professionals, we are committed to providing financial products and solutions to businesses within this rapidly growing sector. As we continue to expand our reach and influence, we are seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to lead our partnership initiatives and help us achieve our strategic and funding goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and strategically follow up with prospective and active pipeline.
  • Build strong relationships with cannabis operators, understanding their needs and communicating the benefits and solutions of working with FundCanna.
  • Articulate expertise in financial products as they pertain to unique business needs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cannabis supply chain and provide solutions that assist with current and future efficiencies.
  • Consultative, solutions driven sales process that leads to repeat business.
  • Will report to the Director of Sales.

 

Candidate Requirements:

Ideal candidates will:

  • Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Have strong/professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have a consultative and solutions-based sales approach.
  • Create value propositions and build lasting relationships with clients.
  • Be highly confident in their closing ability and a proven top performer.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience selling
  • Strong sales history, record of success servicing and selling entrepreneurial clients
  • Strong relationship and rapport building skills
  • Must be comfortable selling to business owners/operators
  • Comfortable with basic math/numbers as this is part of the sales process
  • Goal driven and motivated to beat monthly expectations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handles pressure well
  • Exceptional communicator and listener

As we continue to expand our reach and influence, we are seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to lead our partnership initiatives and help us achieve our strategic and funding goals.

Position Summary:

This position will be a key member of our sales and revenue team, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive Strategic Partnership strategy that drives funding volume and interest in partnering with FundCanna. This is not a customer service and partnership management role; it is a production-based role. Prospecting, signing and producing volume from new partners and increasing volume from existing partners. Partnerships are instrumental to achieving our funding goals and further establishes our company as the leading finance Company serving the Cannabis industry. The ideal candidate will understand the business side in the Cannabis industry, a proven track record in all facets and mediums of business development, possess strong self-motivation, leadership skills, exhibit exceptional communication capabilities and be driven by results.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and maintain a list of specific potential high-value partners and referral sources within the cannabis industry.

Partnership Development:

  • Identify and target a “top 50 strategic partners” list. Continuously evolve and expand this list monthly.
  • Sign new producing partners, as they are the primary metric for success.
  • Maximize the productivity of existing partners and ensure the successful onboarding and productivity of new partners.
  • Provide partners with necessary education, materials, training, and engagement to support their success.
  • Develop a client feedback loop to regularly gather insights from partners to improve services.

Networking and Relationship Building:

  • Build and enhance the reputation of FundCanna and our brands with relevant prospective partners.
  • Strengthen existing relationships by consistently demonstrating the value of our partnership and funding services.

 

 

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Continuously improve existing processes to ensure seamless integration and immediate productivity.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create initiatives aimed at attracting new partners and driving more business from existing partners.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure seamless support, service, and volume from partners that deliver leads/prospects.
  • Set monthly targets for partner volume acquisition and track performance against these targets.

Performance Metrics:

  • Track and report on key metrics related to volume and productivity.
  • Conduct performance reviews with the executive team to assess progress and adjust strategies as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proven experience in partnership management, business development or a similar role within the cannabis industry.
  • Strong networking, relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent strategic planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to track and report on performance metrics.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is very strongly encouraged.
  • Innovative thinker with a results-driven approach and a strong ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter that can roll up sleeves, dig in and make a tangible impact.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
