About the job

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Solana Beach, CA (in-office)

Salary Range: $140K-$150K

We are looking for a highly skilled and autonomous Senior Software Engineer to be the first and sole developer on our team. This is a unique opportunity for an individual contributor to have a foundational impact by designing, building, and owning a greenfield product from the ground up. We believe that strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn are more valuable than experience with a specific tech stack. While our current environment includes Salesforce, Vue, and Laravel, we encourage applicants with comparable experience in other frameworks and platforms to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and develop robust and scalable full-stack applications from scratch.
  • Work independently to own the entire software development lifecycle, from technical design to deployment and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the technical team as well as non-technical stakeholders to understand business needs, translate business requirements into technical solutions and gracefully receive product input.
  • Set and maintain high technical standards, ensuring code quality, performance, and security.
  • Proactively identify and solve complex technical challenges across the entire stack.
  • Integrate applications with Salesforce as well as external platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, or a related technical field is preferred, but we will consider candidates with extensive, hands-on experience.
  • Proven experience as a senior-level software engineer with a track record of building and owning complete applications.
  • Deep understanding of software design principles, data structures, algorithms, and system architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and build sophisticated APIs and user-friendly front-end applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-autonomy environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate technical decisions and trade-offs.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Salesforce development (Apex, Flow, LWC, Visualforce) or similar enterprise platforms like Netsuite.
  • Proficiency in a modern front-end framework (e.g., Vue, React, Angular).
  • Experience with a modern back-end framework (e.g., Laravel).
  • Experience with SQL databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres).
  • Experience with building and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
